Gather & Ground: Fall Qigong & Mindful Cooking for Women

10/5, 10/19, 11/2, 11/16

5–7 PM at the Chuckanut Center in Fairhaven

Join us for a warm and grounding four-part series designed to nourish the body during the Autumn season and prepare ourselves for winter. Rooted in the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective, we’ll explore the vital role of spleen and lung energies during this season and their connection to women's health.

Each class weaves together:

  • TCM Foundations — understanding lung and spleen essences, Autumn energetics, and how to support consolidation of our energy as we transition out of summer.

  • Nutrition — practical guidance, whole-food approaches, and supportive herbs and teas.

  • Seasonal Meals — we’ll prepare delicious dishes together, practice Qigong while the meal cooks and share the meal together during the final 30 minutes of class.

Held on Monday nights at Chuckanut Center, this series offers a cozy space to learn, nourish, and discern what is needed during the Autumn time.

Meet your Facilitator

Dr. Wren McLaughlin (she/her) is an Integrative Women’s Health Coach and Physical Therapist born and raised on the ancestral homelands of Nooksack, Lummi and other Coast Salish peoples and descended from Anglo European peoples. Wren is a student of embodiment in her own inheritance and creation story. She is passionate about guiding others toward greater health and wellbeing while acknowledging this land, peoples, and all living beings who reside here have experienced loss and harm.

We are all seeking renewal into something as yet unimagined and embodiment (which she defines as experiencing a sense of home inside your body) is one pathway toward this renewal that Wren has been exploring for the past 25 years.

Learning more about how we can relate to the seasonal shifts as part of our wholeness is foundational to Wren's approach to women's health. In her facilitation, Wren holds space for your presence, in your humanity, with all your identities, cultures, ancestors, orientations, physical abilities, traumas, and joys as part of the collective creation story.
